EIS Support - New Hope Coal

Blackwater Rehabilitation Works

We have direct experience providing project management services for rehabilitation and topsoil works, having delivered these services with Blackwater Mine whilst an employee of BHP.

Third Party Compliance Report

MTV Environmental was engaged by an operational coal mine to complete a Third Party Environmental Authority (EA) Compliance Review.

EPBC Approval 3D Seismic Program

Coordinated the baseline assessment within a Brigalow Threatened Ecological Community.

Environmental Management Systems

Developed the ISO14001 certified system at Blackwater Mine which improved identification of potential environmental risks.

Daunia Mine Water Licence

When Daunia Mine required a water licence to ‘take’ water associated with their open-cut mining activities, Michael project managed the development of a regional groundwater model for the mine. The model considered regional geology and monitoring bore data and was used to predict potential drawdown impacts to neighbouring groundwater users.

Assessment of Tenders

We provided an assessment of the environment, water and rehabilitation components of tender bids for a large whole of mine contract. We developed a scorecard by compiling the key requirements set out in the tender documentation. The submissions of each bidder were reviewed and scores allotted for conformance to each requirement. Key strengths, missing information, and a summary were then developed for each of the bidders.regional groundwater model for the mine.
